HELLO WORLD!

My nephew was born last week and idea's popped up in my head for a photo op.  I wanted to do some test shots before the actual shoot so I decided to use my daughters teddy bear in place of my nephew.  Here is my test shot...

Post Processing: Tedious but Fun!

Post processing can be a very tedious job.   I can see why some photographers don't like to do this. They would rather give it to a photoshop retoucher.  But since I love working with Photoshop, I've been experimenting with different techniques and actions.  I think I found a technique I'll enjoy using on my photo's.  Below are samples of black and white and vintage looks.  Pretty amazing what you can do with a little trial and error and patience.  I like how these came out and will continue to use these on my photos.

Boys Will Be Boys

These are our nephews that always have a lot of energy!  Trying to take photos of them is always hard because they would rather play & make you laugh.  So we took them to some train tracks & told them we were looking for Thomas the Tank Engine & he wanted to see them smile...

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

At JM Photography, we like to give to causes that we believe in because we are blessed to be able to do what we love.  As a young boy, I lost my mother to breast cancer.  For the month of October if you donate $25 or more to Susan G. Komen for the Cure at www.Komen.org, we will give you a 25% discount on any package.  All you have to do is bring in your reciept to show proof of donation & book your event during the month of October.  It's that easy.  This special is only valid from October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 (Can be combined with other discounts except on the Orchid Package & Bird of Paradise Package).

Jay had the opportunity to do their engagment session earlier this year at Lake Las Vegas.  Right off the bat, you could see that they have a rare chemistry & love that poured out of their photos.  We went to their wedding but did the reception & had a blast!!  They are one of our favorite couple to have worked with.  Thank You for making our job easy =) 

Our Oldest

Usually, we do studio pictures every year for our kids birthday.  This year was different.  She wanted to go down to the strip & the art disrtict to take pictues.  We also just went to the park up the street.  She is our "model."  She always takes beautiful pictures even when she's not trying!

Robert & Tina

Robert & Tina traveled 3 hours to do their VERY over due bridal shoot.  They have been happily married for 15 years & never had any wedding pictures to show for.  So while we were visiting family in Hawaii, Jay decided to do a shoot & we were able to work them.  Thanks guys for traveling so far to take your pictures.  We hope you enjoy them =)

This our little one's 6 year birthday pictures.  She usually doesn't like Daddy to take her pictures because she's tired of being his model hehehe but it was her special day & she loves the attention.

We had so much fun doing their engagemnt shoot!!!  They were willing to get dirty & be one with nature.  They are truly in love & we look foward to doing their wedding =)

Starting New

JM Photography is new up & coming husband & wife photography team.  Jay is the creative eye of all the images you see.  He has always been an artist but has recently found a love for photography.  Tifany (me) is the support team & behind the scene person, although, you might see me at one of Jay's photography events.  We have finally finished our website & are currently working on our blog.  Jay has been tweeking them both but now has a website he's proud of.  Check it out at www.JMPhotographylv.com
